2.1 Chrome Extension

When you use the LotLens Chrome Extension, we may collect the following data:

• Anonymous user ID — a randomly generated UUID assigned at installation. This is not linked to your identity.
• Auction type — which auction platform you are browsing (IAA or Copart).
• Province setting — the Canadian province you have selected for tax calculations.
• Bid amounts — the values you enter into the calculator for calculation purposes.
• Extension version — the installed version number, used for compatibility and debugging.
• IP address — collected by our server when the extension makes API requests, used for abuse prevention and rate limiting.

We do not collect:

• Your passwords or login credentials for auction sites
• Cookies or session tokens from auction websites
• Your browsing history or URLs of pages you visit
• Any personally identifiable information (name, email, phone number)

2.2 Website (getlotlens.com)

When you visit our website, we may collect standard web analytics data, including:

• Page views and navigation paths
• Referrer URL (where you came from)
• Browser type and operating system
• Calculator usage patterns (inputs and results, without linking to identity)

We do not use cookies on getlotlens.com. No tracking cookies, no advertising pixels, no third-party analytics cookies are placed on your device.

2.3 Telegram Bot

When you interact with the LotLens Telegram Bot, we collect:

• Telegram user ID — your numeric Telegram identifier, used to associate your subscription and history.
• Calculation history — the inputs and results of calculations you request via the bot.
• Language preference — the language you use when interacting with the bot.

We do not store your Telegram username, bio, phone number, or any other Telegram profile data beyond the user ID.

3. Why We Collect This Data

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

• Product improvement — understanding which features are used most helps us prioritize development.
• Usage analytics — aggregated, anonymized statistics about how the Service is used.
• Abuse prevention — IP addresses and usage patterns help us detect and block API abuse, rate limit excessive requests, and prevent fraud.
• Service delivery — Telegram user IDs are required to deliver bot responses and manage subscription access.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third party. Your data stays on our servers.

We do not share personal data with third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or data brokers.

We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Legal compliance — if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
• Service providers — infrastructure providers (see Section 5) who process data strictly on our behalf and are bound by data processing agreements.

5. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored on our servers hosted in Europe (Contabo VPS, Germany). We apply standard security practices including encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews.

We retain anonymized usage data for up to 12 months. Telegram calculation history is retained for the duration of your active subscription and deleted within 30 days of account termination upon request.

6. Cookies

We do not use cookies on getlotlens.com. The website operates without any session cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party cookies. The Chrome Extension does not interact with auction site cookies.

7. Your Rights (PIPEDA)

As a user in Canada, you have rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), including:

• Right of access — you may request a copy of data we hold associated with your anonymous ID or Telegram user ID.
• Right to correction — you may request correction of inaccurate data.
• Right to deletion — you may request deletion of all data associated with your account by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

8. CASL Compliance
